Teamviewer Portable is the mobile version of the fantastic desktop sharing program that makes troubleshooting, problem solving, and collaboration easier than ever before. The interface has been designed to work seamlessly on mobile devices, and almost all of the desktop functionality is available on this powerful application.
Each user is assigned a username and password, and access permissions and settings can be fully customized. File sharing, live conferencing, session recording and maintenance or support can be conducted from virtually any location with a stable and reliable Internet connection. The design is sleek, the interface is well-organized, and project management tools can be accessed with just a few taps of the finger or stylus.
The Teamviewer platform as a whole has evolved into a solid and reliable utility that virtually eliminates the need to walk clients through support scripts and a lot of other time-consuming questions and answers. I've used it to fix countless user-side problems manually. I can get to the root of the issue, apply fixes, close tickets, and move on to the next project without the usual service-related distractions or annoyances.
I've also used this software to transfer files, organize desktops, install new programs, and perform system updates--and I can do all of this without the user on the other end being involved in the process. The user would be able to easily join the connection after logging in.
Teamviewer Portable includes a nice trial that provides a decent glimpse of what this powerful software can accomplish. However, it's limited. All of the features won't be available unless you buy the full version. Be prepared to spend some time learning your way around the system, and remember that the other computer or device needs to have the software installed and a connection.
I can't honestly think of anything bad to say about this software. There are some layout and accessibility issues that I don't like, but these are more of a matter of preference than flaws with the program itself. Anyone who's looking for an easy, safe, and accessible way to connect remotely with other devices from anywhere will be blown away by what Teamviewer Portable has to offer.
- Unlimited access to other computers, devices, and workstations
- Collaborate and manage tickets from anywhere
- Interface is smart and easy to use
- Value for the money
- Tricky learning the ropes
- Configuring everything takes time
- Trial is a bit limited
